So, here we are, Motor City Rockin' in the 313 Baby!!!!
It is your Motor City 'Ghost In The Machine'
Yep, Just Me, Mic E. Vee.
So much coolness jumpin' off that it is just sick. so many damn awesome creative people in this city that it is so hard to keep up with who is doin' what, & where they are doing it.
So let me just dig in where I am at....
All of our family is staying busy this season.
If ya been keeping up with us, then you know what excitement this is to talk about the release of this Album. This is our whole family, and a few others working it out in the studio with our family. We spent a lot of time, & love making this album come to fruition. There is a website coming soon. We are just finishing up the paperwork to release it fully..
Our Sister Shy Covington doing what She does so well...
Every week. Come check it out ya'all...
This is a project we take very seriously. We are always working to advance this city, and this is one of the ways we do just that. We put this organization together called 'HUG Detroit With A Little Bit Of Love', and that is exactly what we aim to do...much more to come with this, stay very tuned. This was the 3 rd event under this crew, and so far, so ummm GREAT!!!!

Other cool shows our family is doing:
Adam is still at it and gearing up for another European Tour. Trying to get all the dates finalized as we speak...
One of the great causes for me is, as most of you know; Animal Rescue. Please help us raise some loot to keep the awesome people at Last Day Dog Rescue doing what they do.
They are not as big and well known as our partners at Detroit Dog Rescue, but they are EQUALLY important in what they do...
this here is pretty sweet:
My 2010 M.A.M.A.

Live @ U Detroit Cafe....Such a fun day that was.....
Dave is still at it after all these years. One curious fact about all of these men is that they are all now 'Born Again' Christians.
I was surprised to learn this about ALL 4 of the, I knew mark was from back when I booked some of his 'GodRock' era shows.
It is awesome to see all these kats still out there doing it.
check out more of Dave on his website.
He has done a lot of recording work here in Detroit, and we got nothing but love & respect for this kat.
Onto another project:
What an incredible album this turned out to be.
What started as a Tribute concert I set up at the Token Lounge a couple years ago.
It was called: "A Night For Day"
It was a tribute to my Uncle Rusty. The late, great Rusty Day of the infamous Amboy Dukes/Cactus/Detroit Band.
Anyways; through this show set up to honor his legacy; Muruga Booker, Steve Dansby & John Sauter, who are all part of our music family, came together to play some of Rusty's songs, and pay homage to the giant he was. from this night, and how we are all connected, this is how it all came to be: 'The Hand I Was Dealt'
As it goes; Muruga & John had played together years back in Ted Nugent's band and are credited with writing the rhythm for Ted's hit: 'Stranglehold'. They hadn't seen or spoke to each other since the 70's. Steve Dansby had also played with John while they were both in Rusty's 'Cactus'. Steve & I had worked on several projects together, and as he was a great close friend of Rusty's, he was a perfect fit. Well, over all these years, Steve had played sideman to many, in several great bands. All the while building his own catalog of songs to one day record.
This was to be that chance. The 3 of these rockers agreed to get together in sessions at Sage Ct. Studios.
This album was recorded as a trio, and even performed as a trio on a few occasions. BUT, a random turn of events brought about the arrival of Misty Love of 'Kid Rock' fame. Her & I were looking to see what we could do to get some recordings happening for her own solo career. We went to meet with Muruga. We did some songs of Misty's...but then...The script got flipped, and this is the result, Misty came in on vox and the album became a gritty blues-rock must have for the TRUE Detroit Rock fan.
I feel like a proud papa..
We hope you enjoy it too.

Steve is doing studio work in Nashville.
John is recuperating from a motorcycle accident that happened shortly after these recordings. He and all of them are all doing well.
Moving right along.....
We Love & Miss You Steven. You brought us so much joy & happiness. Not just in your music & the shows, but also in the essence of your persona. Who you were!!!. That memory we cherish my friend.
Our timekeeper, Gabe 'Gonzilla' Gonzales, of P-Funk/George Clinton fame, is getting ready to take his other crew on the road. he is looking for cities to play, as well as some artists to do shows with all over the country in 2014.
Such an awesome book. There are some great books on our scene, & our bands; This is one of them . This is the most recent of them. Lots of our friends & musical family in here.
You know we always support this cause and work with them every year, so PLEASE: YOU DO IT TOO!!!!
We realize you may not be able to help set up shows, or promote things the way we do, but just a little bit of help can go a long way to making a HUGE DIFFERNCE. I used to be one of those tots in an orphanage, so I KNOW how important this can be.
One of the most talented woman in music. We are proud to be her friend, partner, as well as do all we can to get her known. She has been around making a great name for herself. With all of the different shows we have had over the years, she never ceases to amaze.
